The Surfrider Foundation’s Delaware Chapter is looking for new leaders to step into volunteer Executive Committee roles. If you care about clean water, healthy beaches, and public access to the coast, we’d love for you to bring your energy, ideas, and commitment to our leadership team.
Seeking New Leaders
The Delaware Chapter is seeking new volunteer leaders to join our Executive Committee and help guide the strategic direction of the chapter. Serving as a chapter leader is a meaningful way to make a tangible impact, connect with a passionate community, and help protect the places that make Delaware’s coast so special.
Open Executive Committee Positions
- Chair - Leads the team, facilitates meetings, and serves as the primary contact with Surfrider Foundation HQ. You’ll also organize general membership and Executive Committee meetings. *Time commitment: ~1-5 hrs per week*
- Secretary - Responsible for keeping and distributing meeting minutes, and assisting with keeping chapter organized. *Time commitment: ~1-5 hrs per week*
- Volunteer Activity Coordinator - Work with the team to plan and execute regular mission-related volunteer opportunities in the community: ~1-5 hrs per week
Other leadership roles
- Ocean Friendly Gardens Coordinator - Manage and expand our Ocean Friendly Gardens program. ~1-5 hours per week
