Stop Seismic Testing Off Delaware's Coast

Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and several other towns are considering resolutions against offshore drilling, seismic testing, or both. Please see this agenda for Rehoboth's regular workshop meeting on Monday, December 7th at 9AM. If you can attend and speak in support of a resolution against seismic testing, that would be great. Lewes passed such a resolution recently, thereby joining others towns such as Wilmington, NC, Charleston, SC and many more.

The Atlantic Coast is still being considered for offshore oil drilling from Virginia waters and south.  But the coast of Delaware is being considered for seismic air-gun blasting which is used to find oil and gas deposits by blasting sonic booms through the water; so loud that they penetrate 2 miles below the ocean floor. These blasts are harmful to marine life including fish and mammals.
