Join Surfrider Foundation Delaware Chapter for our 2021 Membership Drive!

This Giving Tuesday is the perfect opportunity to become a member of Surfrider Foundation. For just $25, you can support us in our efforts to protect our ocean communities and natural ecosystems. REEF has agreed to match donations up to $100,000, so every dollar contributed has twice the impact!

This past year, some of our work has included:

• Working with Plastic Free Delaware to pass a better plastic bag bill in Delaware, HB-212, as well as legislation banning the intentional release of balloons, SB24. In 2021, Delaware Chapter removed nearly 400 balloons from our beaches.
• Installing a shower at Herring Point with the support of DNREC.
• Keeping our beaches beautiful by organizing beach cleanups nearly every month with members, locals, and small businesses in our community. Just some of the trash collected in this year's cleanups includes 4,827 cigarette butts, 1,121 food wrappers, 507 plastic bottles, 503 straws, and 260 plastic grocery bags.
