Surfrider Foundation has put tremendous effort into quantifying the economic value of non-consumptive coastal recreation. (It excludes fishing & boating economics because those have been well documented.) And the DE Chapter has put tremendous effort into making sure beach replenishment does not create dangerous beaches with no surf which will drive tourists elsewhere.
