Big Chill Beach Club Beach Clean-up

On Tuesday June 20 the Delaware Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, Delaware Surf Fishing and the Big Chill Beach Club co-hosted a Beach Clean-up held at the Beach Club inside the Delaware Seashore State Park on the Southside of the Indian River Inlet.

Nearly 20 volunteers showed up and collected an estimated 892 pounds of litter and other debris from the beach, dunes and parking area. Surfers, Beach Club Staff, Fishermen and Beach Goers alike provided 40 volunteer man hours for the State Park. These volunteer hours helps the State Park with much needed funding. 

Mike Ridings from Liquid Surf Shop and Big Chill has a personal goal to reduce plastics in his establishments. You can see his work in first hand- only providing paper bags for retail purchases in the Surf Shop.  Thank You Mike.
